The Power of Data Science to Accelerate Health Medical Research

On 13 November 2019, the Institute of Medical Science, the University of Tokyo was authorized as the "International Joint Research Center for Promoting Basic and Applied Research and Implementing Translational Research" by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and has been promoting international research collaborations. Data science has the power to accelerate the collaborations. This year's symposium, "The Power of Data Science to Accelerate Health Medical Research," will focus on the data science of novel coronavirus infections and cancer genomes, which have a major impact on current health, medicine, and society.
