ヒトゲノム解析センター井元清哉教授、植松智特任教授らの研究グループは、コレラ毒素のサブユニットを抗原とする、コメ型経口ワクチン「ムコライス」の成人を対象とした医師主導第 I 相試験を行い、その有効性 (免疫原性) と安全性、忍容性を確認しました。
コレラ菌感染による下痢症は世界では未だに大きな問題であり、年間約 130～400 万人の感染者とそれに起因する 2～14 万人の死者が出ています。イネに組換え技術を用い、ワクチン抗原遺伝子 (CTB) を組み込んだワクチン発現米「ムコライス」 (MucoRice-CTB) の有効性は、実験動物レベルでは確認されていましたが、ヒトでの有効性を今回、新たに確認することができました。また、ワクチンに対する免疫応答は被験者の腸内細菌叢と深い関わりがあることが明らかになりました。「ムコライス」経口ワクチンはコレラ毒素による下痢症だけではなく、旅行者下痢症の原因の一つである毒素原性大腸菌由来易熱性毒素による下痢症にも効果のある可能性が示されました。

The other day I was bored and decided to visit a new gaming website, originally planning only to have a quick look at the design.
